In her Mail Slot with Ella Hughes, Danny - Episode 2
Ella Hughes sat at her desk, sipping on a cup of coffee and going through the morning's mail. As the assistant to the CEO, she had the important task of prioritizing which emails and letters needed the boss' attention first.
Her office had a small window that looked out onto the bustling city streets below. It was always a welcome distraction from the mountain of paperwork that seemed to grow higher every day. However, today was different. Today, someone had left an envelope in her mail slot with the words "For Danny" scrawled across it.
Confused, Ella turned the envelope over in her hands, examining it for any clues. It was a plain white envelope, with no return address or other identifying information. Intrigued, she carefully slit it open with a letter opener and pulled out the enclosed letter.
"Dear Danny," the letter began, catching Ella off guard. "I hope this letter finds you well. I have been an admirer of your work for years, and I must say, I am impressed with your latest project. The attention to detail and the way you capture emotions is truly remarkable. I couldn't help but feel a personal connection to your art."
Ella's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. She had no idea who this mysterious "Danny" was, or why they were sending their letter to her. Could it be a case of mistaken identity? She read on, hoping to find some answers.
"I have enclosed some fan art I've created based on your latest piece. I would be honored if you would take a look and tell me what you think. Your opinion means the world to me, and your feedback would be invaluable."
Ella carefully pulled out a folded piece of paper, revealing a beautifully drawn portrait of someone she recognized – herself. The artistry and attention to detail were indeed impressive. But who was this person, and how did they know so much about her?
As Ella pondered these questions, a light knock came from her office door. Startled, she quickly hid the letter and its contents, not wanting to raise any suspicions with her coworkers. "Come in," she called out, trying to regain her composure.
It was Danny, the CEO, wearing a curious expression on his face. "Ella, have you seen my mail? I've been expecting an important document, and I can't seem to find it anywhere."
Ella's heart skipped a beat. Was the letter in her hand the important document Danny was referring to? She weighed her options and decided honesty was the best policy. "Danny, I did receive a strange envelope this morning. It had your name on it, but I have no idea who it's from. Would you like me to bring it to you?"
Danny nodded, motioning for her to hand it over. "Thank you, Ella. I appreciate your honesty. I'll take a look at it myself and see if I can figure out what it's about."
Ella handed over the envelope, hoping she hadn't done anything wrong. As Danny left her office, she couldn't help but wonder who this mysterious "fan" was and why they were sending their artwork specifically to him. Little did she know, this was only the beginning of a thrilling adventure that would uncover secrets about her past and challenge her perceptions of reality.
As Ella sat back down at her desk, she couldn't help but feel a mixture of trepidation and excitement. She knew that she was about to embark on a journey that would change her life forever.
