After a few weeks of consistent training, Max begins to better control his impulses and starts to listen to Albie's commands. They go on many more walks together, and Albie is grateful for the companionship and joy that Max brings into his life.
One day, Albie notices that Max is acting lethargic and isn't his usual playful self. Worried, he takes him to the vet, where it's discovered that Max has eaten something he shouldn't have. Albie is relieved when Max is treated and makes a full recovery, but he vows to be more vigilant in the future.
As the weeks go by, Albie and Max develop a strong bond, and Albie can't imagine life without his furry friend by his side. They spend their days taking walks, playing fetch in the park, and cuddling on the couch.
In the final scene of the episode, Albie is sitting on the couch, reading a book, with Max curled up at his feet. As the sun sets outside, Albie smiles and realizes just how lucky he is to have such a loyal and loving companion.
The episode ends with Albie ruffling Max's fur and whispering, "You're the best dog a guy could ask for, Max." Max wags his tail in response, and the screen fades to black, leaving viewers with a warm and fuzzy feeling in their hearts.
